Clothing in Concentration Camps and Prison
Concentration camps have influenced prisons in many ways, one of them being clothing. Both clothing uniforms of concentration camps and prisons are signature pieces of what makes them unique.

Prisoners in concentration camps were very dependent on their clothing, especially since they only changed them every 6 months . Men would be given a grey striped prison uniform. On the other hand women would have to wear smock type dresses. Both women and men would also have to wear wooden or leather clogs, leaving them without socks. On there uniforms they each had a number that was stamped on and 6 different types of triangles representing what they were and why they were in the concentration camp.

Prison clothing has a history of it's own. In 1995 most prison stop there prisoner from wearing striped uniforms. Although in 2000 some prison and jails went back to the striped uniforms. Prisoner have to wear either 2 piece scrubs or 1 piece jumpers. Prisoner would have to wear orange, black, white, yellow, and blue because it easier to identify and find them. Leaving women and male prisoner wearing the same type of uniforms.
